Stephanie Ervin

Stephanie has been practicing yoga for the past thirteen years. Her background in movement and dance immediately attracted her to the physical practice. She moved to New York eight years ago, and her practice revealed that it could be a way of learning how to find her way in the city and through life. After working in countless restaurants and bars, the dream of performing shifted into the dream of teaching. She completed her 200 hour teacher training at Yoga Works in 2009. Then, went on to complete her 300 hour mentorship with teacher and friend Paula Liberis. Stephanie is also certified in restorative yoga. She feels so blessed to be on this path and to be a part of Pure Yoga.

Las Vegas, Nevada

I have been practicing for 13 years

What motivates you to practice today?
Each time I practice, I am home. The whole world stops whirling and there is peace. As I breathe, I am truly present in each moment. This practice of yoga, be it asana, pranayama or meditation provides me with tools to navigate through my life. There is so much joy in this practice!

What challenges do you still face with your practice?
I face many challenges, but my biggest challenge is patience with myself. I sometimes struggle with honoring where I am physically each day as we are different every day.

There is so much to love - such great teachers and amazing students. I feel blessed each day to be a part of the teaching community here. I learn so much from the students, more than they will ever know.
