What classes do you teach at Pure?

Ki Power Vinyasa and Hot Ki Power Vinyasa

How long have you been practicing yoga?

I have been incorporating yoga poses into my Judo practice (which I started when I was six years old), but formally found yoga in 2004.

What brought you to yoga?

I competed in Judo tournaments throughout my life and in 2004, I returned from the World Masters Championship in Vienna with several injuries. I was also experiencing high levels of stress as a New York attoney. It was during my first yoga class that I sensed I had tapped into something very deep and profound.

What do you love about teaching?

I love helping students connect to their energy- their ki- as a way to transform their lives.

Who was your first yoga teacher and how were you inspired?

My first class ever was with Paige Elenson, founder of the Africa Yoga Project. Her spirit stirred soemthing in mine and the practice eventually changed my life.

What motivates you to practice today?

The sense of mind, body, and spirit I feel after every class I take.

Aside from yoga, what are your other hobbies and interests?

Judo, martial arts, vedic thair yoga body work, and Spanish wines.

What would you be if not a yoga instructor?

A master sommelier.

What do you love about Pure Yoga?

The sense of community. The amazing management, staff, and teachers. The Pure committment to serve others.
