Breath, Roots and Core: A Vinyasa Yoga Workshop
Friday, September 21
6:00pm - 8:30pm
Coordinate breath and movement through the center and into the heart. Explore the meaning of vinyasa and develop the concepts of breath, roots and core to keep grounded in Yogic Philosophy.

The Pillars of Back Bends
Saturday, September 22
8:30am - 11:00am
Learn to use the arms and legs in to create integration and strength. Challenge yourself for optimal, balanced practice.
*Open to all level students. Be prepared to practice and observe bodies.

Journey In: Forward Bends and Twists
Saturday, September 22
3:00pm - 5:30pm
Explore the power and exhilaration of twists, and the relaxation and peace of forward bends to restore vitality and release deep seated tensions drawing the mind inwards toward a quiet inner place of reflection.
*Some standing poses will be used to warm up, beginning and intermediate twists and forward bends will be the focus.

Take Flight: Going Upside Down!
Sunday, September 23
9:00am - 11:30am
Learn to stand up and soar on arms in arm balances in this workshop designed to refine and strengthen the practice of arm balancing poses.
*Requirements: able to do a handstand at the wall

About Maty
Maty Ezraty has been teaching yoga since 1985 and was the original founder of Yoga Works in Santa Monica California. At Yoga Works, she directed the Teacher Training Program for over 16 years. As a dedicated Ashtanga practitioner, Maty studied intensively with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois both in India and here in the US, but she has also studied for decades with many senior Iyengar teachers. She has had the privilage to study in Pune with the Iyengar family on 3 occasions. With her unique viewpoint, Maty brings a holistic perspective to all of her students. Her abundant knowledge and skill is reflected in her teaching practice. She is known for her joyful, engaging and determined approach to teaching correct form and is revered as a teacher's teacher.
Maty wrote the Yoga Journal Asana Column in 2001 and in 2009, and has served as the guest expert for that publication over the years. A student of vipassana meditation, she studies with Joseph Goldstein at the Insight Meditation Society in Mass and at Spirit Rock in California. She leads teacher trainings and workshops all over the world.

Cost:
Members - $55 for one; $200 for all four
Non-Members - $60 for one; $220 for all four
