Join Seane for a weekend workshop that explores beyond the body, helping to uncover insight into the spirit. Learn and use the tools of asana, meditation, reflection, intention and prayer to understand the dynamics of the chakra system which empowers us toward health and new life.
Schedule:
Setting a Powerful Context
January 20, 6:00pm - 8:30pm
Purify and detoxify the physical and energetic body in a vigorous vinyasa flow class.
Earth/Fire
January 21, 10:00am - 12:30pm
Focus on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd chakras in a stimulating, provocative and challenging vinyasa flow.
Fire/Water
January 21, 3:00pm - 5:30pm
Focus on the 4th chakra in a slow, deep and restorative heart-centered class.
Air/Spirit
January 22, 10:00am - 1:00pm
Focus on the 5th, 6th, and 7th chakras in a creative, inspiring and awakening vinayasa flow that will tie the workshop together and unite the themes for all the individual energy systems, restoring balance and harmony in the body.
*About Seane
Seane Corn is an internationally celebrated yoga teacher known for her impassioned activism and inspirational style of teaching. A strong and articulate voice for social change, she started her activism work by creating the yoga program for L.A. shelter "Children of the Night". Since 2006, her work has been focused on training leaders of activism through her co-founded organization Off the Mat, Into the World® and bringing awareness to the HIV/AIDS crisis. Over the last 20 years of her career, Seane has been featured in magazines, Oprah.com, The Huffington Post, numerous radio programs such as NPR, and four self-authored dvd programs. In 2005, Seane was named the National Yoga Ambassador for YouthAIDS. She sits on the board of both the Cambodian Children's Fund and the Engage Network.
