Adam has taught Iyengar Yoga since 2000. He is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor and was selected to perform with the Iyengar Institute of New York, for B.K.S Iyengar and for the Iyengar Yoga National Convention.



Adam Vitolo instructs the following:
  • Iyengar Restorative & Pranayama
  • As active asanas tone the body, pranayama tones the mind. Pranayama: Prana (breath or life force); Yama (restraint or control). Learning to watch the breath teaches us to concentrate the mind, and learning to concentrate for an uninterrupted period of time brings the mind to a state of quiet inward focus - meditation. In this class we will practice a series of asanas that are quiet, restful, and opening so that we are ready to watch and work with the breath.

  • Based on the principles of B.K.S. Iyengar, this class emphasizes attention to detail and precise alignment of postures. Poses are held longer and the use of props is encouraged to modify poses, if needed.
